I started seeing Jess when I moved back to the area in the summer of 2020. This was a very difficult time in my life with moving my family, switching and starting a new job while also running around after two kids under 3. As a healthcare working during this pandemic I found myself wanting to have some control. More importantly I wanted my kids to find the joy in eating better and staying active. As I continued with Jess my goals became less about the number on the scale and more about establishing good habits and setting a good example for my kids.

What were some of your favorite products or convenience items that you utilized during your journey? I.e. a certain protein shake, high protein waffle, etc.

I love the convenience of premier protein shakes in the morning as something that keeps me satisfied and quick before I have scrub into surgery. I also love the Dannon oikos Greek yogurt.

What is your favorite new vegetable? How do you like to prepare it?

I love brussel sprouts in the air fryer with some balsamic glaze drizzled on them.

What are some of the ways you feel your lifestyle has changed for the better since working with Expedition Wellness?

It’s hard to explain the confidence not only I have for my body but mentally. I appreciate taking this journey slowly so I can practice good habits. More importantly this process has given my the tools to fall off or have a bad week but be able to get back on and practice consistency.

Please share 1-2 things that you feel you have learned since you started your journey?

I learned to be patient with myself. As long as you keep the big picture in mind and you continue to work towards it, it will eventually come. I’ve also learned the importance of trying new foods and what foods are worth eating.

What tips do you have for others who want to pursue their weight loss goals following the Expedition Wellness Plan?

Just start. There are so many excuses valid or not but that’s just what they are, excuses. You can keep blaming it on xyz but that’s life and there will always be hurdles or not the right time. Just take the first step and be patient with yourself.

What are some of the ways you plan to stay on track in maintenance?

I feel like I stay on track by logging what I eat. I also love working out as much as I can. Not just for the physical transformation but for my mental health.

How can Expedition Wellness best assist you in maintenance?

Continue to support me and keep me accountable.

Would you recommend Expedition Wellness to others?

100% I would. It’s absolutely life changing.
